FINALLY - WE GOT A RACE! After Two attempts at racing over the last month, and absolutely no wind at all, the race committee managed to get a race off! YAAAAY! While there was little to no wind throughout the course, it proved to be one of the most fun and challenging races of the season! Each boat in our division was swapping places continuously, and the shifty winds meant that we would go from last to first, and then back to last again. While Thursday's Child would traditionally be great in these conditions we were slightly over-crewed. We managed to stay very still with our weight all strategically placed in an attempt to make the boat faster and it seemed to pay off. Stephen was driving the boat and did a superb job. We chased gusts all the way to the windward mark, where we converged with most of our competitors. Most everyone ended up bumping in to each other at the mark resulting in quite the impromptu mark rounding. We were able to sneak ahead of them and finish while the rest of the fleet remained stranded at the mark.
