Unable to make it through Porlier Pass before the current changed, and not wanting to be trying to sail against the current through the pass in light air, the crew of TC have decided to gamble and head through the very challenging Dodd narrows. Dodd Narrows doesn't become passable until 2am so if the wind stays light, this could work out incredibly well, however, if the wind picks up they could be waiting for the current to change whilst other boats sail the longer distance around Gabriola island to the finish!
